We mourn Pope Francis and share the world’s loss
It is with sadness that we have received the news of Pope Francis' death and share the loss of our friends, the Church and the world, write Herman Hallonsten and Lotta Sjöström Becker, Chairperson and Secretary General of the Swedish Fellowship of Reconciliation (SweFOR).

Pope Francis has always been of great support to us in SweFOR through his clear stance for peace and justice and with the most vulnerable among our fellow human beings as the center of his care and proclamation.
Every year on New Year’s Day – the World Prayer Day for Peace – we have appreciated Francis’ clear message of peace and justice, for example by showing hospitality to migrants, working for ecological conversion and sharing a culture of care as the path to peace.
We join Francis in his own prayer for peace on earth, our common home, and ask God to embrace him in his Love and Peace!
