Father Marcelo & Pueblo Creyente de Simojovel (The Believing People of Simojovel)

Pueblo Creyente (The Believing People of Simojovel) is a Catholic movement dedicated to the construction of peace, the defense of land and territory, and the fight against violence through civil and peaceful resistance. The movement is lead by the priest Marcelo Pérez Pérez, parish priest of Simojovel and coordinator of the social ministry of the three Dioceses of the Province of Chiapas. Father Marcelo Pérez Pérez accompanies various processes, such as the defense of land and territory. He also mediates in intercommunity conflicts and accompanies displaced communities.
