We amplify the space of action for human rights defenders who are threatened

SweFOR has had peace observers in Guatemala since the year 2000 as part of the international accompaniment project ACOGUATE, a cooperation in which we no longer participate. The staff of SweFOR is principally located in Guatemala city and their activities are financed by the Swedish ecumenical organization SMC.

Work methods

We offer skills development in nonviolent self-protection to various organizations that work for territorial rights, the environment and transitional justice.
