Strengthening allied organizations in violent conflicts
SweFOR promotes the work of peace and justice actors to counteract and transform the underlying causes of conflicts through nonviolent methods. We assist these actors both financially and thematically. We also contribute through our expertise in peacebuilding and nonviolence.
In South Sudan, SweFOR works in cooperation with the Organization for Nonviolence and Development (ONAD), and Community Empowerment for Progress Organization (CEPO).
In the region of Maghreb, we work to strengthen the capacity of youth activists to use nonviolent methods and analysis in peace building processes.
In Colombia, SweFOR collaborates with the Mennonite Christian Association for Justice, Peace and Nonviolent Action (Justapaz) to enable women, youth and churches to address the effects of militarisation on social life, promote community dialogues and advocate for nonviolent solutions to conflicts and for a just and sustainable peace.
